1. Introduction to ESC Clermont :
Ranked one of Top 100 business schools in the world, ESC Clermont is a sister school to GDUFS. It is a century-old school founded in 1919 under the Clermont-Ferrand Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Auvergne region. ESC Clermont is a member of France's elite business schools, and has obtained international recognition with the awarding of the AACSB accreditation since 2005, with only 5% of the world's business schools being awarded the honor. In February 2019, ESC Clermont's undergraduate program was accreditated by EPAS, another of the world's highest business school accreditation. The school mainly focuses on master's education and vigorously develops undergraduate education. Over the years, ESC Clermont has been ranked in the top 100 in both FT and QS World Business School rankings. Claremont-Ferrand is a major city in south-central France as well as the global headquarter of Michelin.
GDUFS plans to send students to ESC Clermont this summer to participate in the exchange study in France with the theme of European “Business Culture and International Entrepreneurship”. The relevant arrangements are listed as follows. Deadline for application is May 31.
1. Duration of the exchange program
From July 13 to July 30, 2019, a total of 18 days.
2. Highlights of the exchange program
1. Provide French enlightenment teaching for students with little or no French language training, aiming to add new language skills for students in the future international business workplace.
2. Help students learn about European business culture with France as the mainstream through the introduction to wine and cooking.
3. Use the latest international business simulation software to launch a 72-hour real international entrepreneurship project.
4. Students will receive European Certificates in Business Culture and International Entrepreneurship from ESC Clermont.
2. Applicants and Quota
All MBA alumni and students, altogether 10 students.
3. Requirements for applicants
1. Good conduct, manners, and personal qualities.
2. Applicants shall have earnest attitude towards learning, good grades, and a certain degree of English listening and speaking ability.
3. Applicants shall be keen on French and European business culture and interested in international communication.
4. Applicants shall be responsible. They shall have the ability of self-directed learning,self-improvement, andaspirations for internationalization
4. Program Expenses
Program fees: RMB 22,800
The fees include: registration fee, tuition fee, accommodation fee, lunch fee while studying at ESC Clermont, hotel buffet breakfast in Paris, bus fee, and Paris public transportation fee. Please refer to annex 2 for the specific schedule.
The fees do not include: Flight tickets and visas, dinner and some brunch, attractions tickets and personal expenses.
6. Application Procedure
Download and fill in the Application Form for Overseas Study Projects ( Annex 1). The Application Form should be signed and sealed by himself/herself and MBA Center. Send the scanned copy to gwoverseas2015@163.com.
Requirements: Indicate "Program Name" (e.g. ESC Clermont Summer Exchange Study Program) + "Name" + "Student Number" in the subject line (failure to send mail as required will result in unsuccessful application, be sure to send as required).
