On the afternoon of June 18th, ZHANG Zhaofen, president of U-Tech Media Corporation, Bionet Corp, and Chinese Weiqi Club in Taiwan, gave the 30th MBA Forum, talking about the relationship between the theory of Weiqi and the art of management.
During
the lecture, Mr. Zhang expressed his above idea through speaking of the
application of Weiqi philosophy to business operation and he also
emphasized that playing Weiqi was somehow like working in business which
had the arranging, middle and closing stage. When arranging Weiqi
pieces, the principle of “corners first, and then sides” is usually
taken. As to business, it should also start from the vast side, trying
to provide the services which are not available at present. In the
middle of business, having accurate calculation and getting the
most advantageous position are of the most importance. The last part
can never be ignored because it sometimes decides life or death.
