On October 22th, Jekabs Bikis, Dean of Graduate School of Business at George Fox University and Annette Nemetz, Chair of MBA programs at George Fox University visited the school. The Dean of school of business of GDUFS Zhu Wenzhong, Vice Deans of school of business of GDUFS Yuan Denghua and Liang Jie, and Director of the MBA Education Center Wang Gang received them in Conference Room 349 of the MBA Education Center.

Two Sides Discussing Cooperation Matters

     Dean Zhu Wenzhong expressed warm welcome to the guests from George Fox University and introduced the history of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS). He mentioned that GDUFS was one of the three prestigious universities of foreign studies. The University was created in 1995 by merging the then existing Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Languages and Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Trade  under the guidance of People's Government of Guangdong Province . Zhu Wenzhong then introduced the running history, specialty, research and international development of SOB and GDUFS and expressed the willingness to deepen cooperation with George Fox University.

Afterwards, Jekabs Bikis gave a brief introduction to the School of Business, George Fox University. He mentioned that Annette Nemetz had visited SOB in March, 2017 and this trip aimed at an in-depth discussion of the future cooperation between the two universities. The two parties mainly discussed on the MBA programs, DBA project for teachers, expatriate visiting scholars and curricula, scholarships, and program settings of the summer study tours.
