Ⅰ. Introduction to ISCTE-IUL

The ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL) was founded in 1972 as one of Portugal’s first modern universities, with the main aim of studying labour and social dynamics in a rapidly changing world. Since its establishment, the university has expanded its disciplinary reach into four schools: Iscte Business School, the School of Sociology and Public Policy, the School of Technology and Architecture, and the School of Social Sciences and Humanities.

The scientific and pedagogical identity of ISCTE-IUL as an institution of knowledge in the university system in Portugal has developed around the disciplines that made and continue to make the reputation of the university. These fields laid the groundwork of ISCTE-IUL’s foundation: Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Quantitative Methods, Anthropology, Social Psychology, Sociology, History, Political Science and Public Policy, Information Technology and Architecture. These areas are organized among four schools: School of Social and Human Sciences (ECSH); School of Sociology and Public Policy (ESPP); School of Management (IBS); and School of Technology and Architecture (ISTA).

ISCTE-IUL prides itself on being one of the most dynamic and innovative universities in Portugal. It has maintained a high employment rate among its graduates, reaching close to 100% for the majority of programs. Many of its former students are currently employed in roles of high responsibility in companies, institutions and governmental bodies. This fact confirms not only the prestige of the Institution, but also the quality of the teaching it administers. It is one of the elite 1% business schools worldwide to hole the triple-crown international accreditation from AACSB (US), EQUIS (Europe), and AMBA (UK). Also, it has established cooperation with over a hundred higher institutes around the world, including Renmin University of China, Sun Yat-sen University, Nanjing University, and University of Macau in China.

Ⅲ. Admission Requirements

1. Applicants must be official students who have studied for at least one semester in MBA Education Center, GDUFS; and have not yet graduated during the exchange program. In principle, at the official start date of the program, students must have studied in school for more than one semester (including one semester, but excluding those who have completed credits in GDUFS before the start of the program) and have a bachelor's degree and graduation certificate of undergraduate.

2. During the study at GDUFS, applicants’ attendance of each course shouldn’t be less than 2/3. He/she should fail in more than two course exams (the failure of make-up exams is counted as one course) is disqualified to apply for this program.

3. The applicant should have a good health, a mature mind, without bad habits and violation of laws, regulations and school rules.

4. All fees in GDUFS such as the tuition fees have been paid on time .

5. The applicant’s IELTS score should be higher than 6.0. The applicants should have strong English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, and are able to engage in All-English teaching.

6. The applicants should meet other requirements of ISCTE-IUL.
