About us
Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS, also known as Guangwai), founded in 1965, is one of the prestigious universities in south China which specializes in international studies and educates professionals for international business and management. It now has over 23,000 full-time students, among whom 3,000 are MA or PhD students. And the number of foreign students is over 2,000.
The MBA Education Center, was founded in July 2007. With its commitment to “Global Vision, English Instruction; Field Immersion, Local Solution”, The MBA Education Center of Guangwai is dedicated to developing global managers with knowledge and insight of both east and west.

1. International Course System to Extend Students’ Global Horizon
We have developed a comprehensive international course system with MBA core courses, enabling our students to directly master the advanced concepts of international management and the development of local enterprises. The courses include Strategic Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Human Resources Management, International Business Law, Operations Management, Managerial Communication, Accounting and other core courses. In order to meet the needs of international market, we also offer unique elective courses such as Cross-border E-commerce, International Financial Management, Brand Management and Marketing Planning, Global Supply Chain Management, International Procurement, Chinese Tao of Business, Corporate Governance, International Trade Practice, Business English, etc.
2. International Faculty Team to Allow Multilevel International Communication
We have an international practical faculty team of more than 100 people, with foreign teachers taking up 25%. While actively expanding international exchange and cooperation, we have established exchange programs, 1+1 double degree programs, international MBA workshop and other kinds of exchange and communication programs with 24 colleges and universities from 12 countries or regions, including University of Missouri of USA, Lancaster University of UK, ISCTE - University Institute of Lisbon of Portugal, ESC Rennes School of Business of France, University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt of Germany, Xavier Institute of Management of India, Fu Jen Catholic University of Taiwan, etc.
3. International Student Group to Bring about Cross-cultural Sparkles of Ideas
We enroll international students from 16 countries which includes the United States, Korean, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam, Ghana, Madagascar, Congo, Iran, Poland and others, forming a diverse student group. We also receive over 10 exchange students from other universities every year. As students from different countries discuss, study and live together, they can have cross-cultural communications, bringing about sparkles of ideas.
4. Local Practice to Promote Professional Competitiveness
Through platforms such as “MBA Lecture”, “New Horizon Lecture”, “Entrepreneurship and Innovation Forum”, “Professionals’ Forum”, “Career Development Workshop”, on which enterprise leaders and academic masters share their own experiences, students can apply what they have learned into practice and promote their professional competitiveness. We also organize activities for students to promote themselves, including enterprise consultation, “Mobile Courses”, “Week of Knowledge and Practice”, Case Study Contest and entrepreneurial contest, etc. Based on the international advantages of GDUFS, we have held a series of lectures and activities with characteristics of “cross-border e-commerce and international procurement”, including lectures on cross-border e-commerce, procurement salon, professional brokers lecture, professionals’ lectures of procurement and supply chain, etc., to provide students with multifaceted studying contents. We also offer second foreign language courses. Students can select the second foreign language they like, such as Spanish, German, French, Japanese, Korean, etc.
5. AMBA International Certification to Highlight International Characteristics
As one of the most authoritative international certification system of management education, AMBA is an international certification system for MBA, as well as a passport for our school to become an internationally well-known school of business. It is acknowledged that AMBA is accredited to only 2% of the world’s high-level business schools, including business schools of Oxford University and Cambridge University. On May 14, 2015, MBA program of School of Business, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, was officially accredited AMBA certification and became the 26th school of business in mainland China, 225th in the world to obtain AMBA certification. Currently, MBA program of School of Business, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies has become one of the four business schools in Guangdong Province to obtain AMBA international certification.

On May 14th, 2015, at the AMBA’s (Association of AMBAs) Global Conference for Deans and Directors in Prague, Czech, Prof. ZHU Wenzhong, Executive Dean of the School of Business, received the AMBA accreditation certificate from Sir Paul Judge, the Chairman of AMBA, which marks that the MBA programme of the School of Business has met the criteria of AMBA and the School becomes No. 26 in China and No. 225 in the world as an AMBA-accredited business school.

Scholarship Description:
This Scholarship is offered to enrolled students of MBA Education Center, School of Business. 16000 RMB will be averagely awarded by four successive semesters from the 2nd semester.
Qualifications required:
1. Pay tuition to MBA Education, School of Business on time;
2. Pass all exams of MBA courses;
3. Conform to MBA regulations in the fields of attendance, assignment, etc.;
4. Shall not be awarded the scholarship in the event of suspension of schooling;
5. Abide by Chinese law, regulations as well as University and school rules.

About Guangzhou
Guangzhou, formally known as Canton, is the capital city of Guangdong province in southern China. It is in the centre of Pearl River Delta, with easy access to nearby HongKong, Macau and Shenzhen. Guangzhou is the largest and most well known trading city in South China and as such plays host to the China Import and Export Fair (also called “Canton Fair”) which is held twice every year. Guangzhou is also estimated to be one of the cities with the highest living quality while the educational opportunities are well developed and abound.
