Director of Oxford Prospects Programmes and Director of of the Centre of Creativity and Enterprise Development of Oxford Brookes University visit GDUFS School of Business

On April 18, Wang Shidong, Director of Oxford Prospects Programmes, accompanied by programme assistant Liu Yichen , and Richard Beresford, Director of of the Centre of Creativity and Enterprise Development of Oxford Brookes University visited GSB. Liang Jie, Associate Dean of GSB, and Pro. Liu Shilan held a meeting with the guests.

Richard Beresford highlighted that Oxford Brookes University values creativity and attaches great importance to enterprise development. He introduced two key institutes for Britain’s creativity and enterprise development— Enterprise Educators UK and Small Business Charter. And Liang Jie briefed on the development of GSB, its achievements attained in the field,and the its available international exchange projects. Both sides exchanged ideas on cooperation in creativity and enterprise innovation, and expressed hope that besides holding meeting, starting dialogue and establishing centers for creativity and enterprise innovation, the two universities can further explore the possibilities of exchanging visiting scholars and carrying out cooperation in scientific research.

During the meeting, Wang Shidong discussed with Liang Jie about the Oxford-GSB Leading Young Entrepreneur Training Class to be launched at the end of September 2016, and both sides thus clarified the training class is to offer trainees opportunities to study in Oxford, and so that, they can directly exchange ideas with experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from Britain, study the western political and business culture, and learn the western approaches to enterprise management, ways to develop century-old family companies as well as to detect the hotspot and new driving forces for creativity and enterprise innovation against the current economy settings.
