On March 2, 2019，Yuan Denghua and Xu Yiqing, Vice Deans of School of Business, and Zhong Risheng, Director of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs of GDUFS, held a pre-trip meeting for 19 MBA students who were about to visit Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME).

The meeting

The meeting was presided by Xu Yiqing, Vice Dean of School of Business. During the meeting, she mentioned that Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME) is a well-known business school in India that features entrepreneurship education. The two universities have a long history of cooperation. Since 2016, XIME has commissioned MBA Center of GDUFS to organize three short-term study tours for its students, receiving a total of 110 students from XIME’s study tours.

In addition, as one of the founding members of the Association of BRICS Business Schools (ABBS), XIME has been actively promoting the development of entrepreneurship education. The 1st BRICS Students Meet held in March 2010 and 2nd BRICS Students Meet held in July 2011were both held by XIME.

MBA Education Center cooperated with XIME in overseas EDP project in 2009. In order to provide more international exchange opportunities for students and alumni of MBA Education Center, the school commissioned XIME to organize this study tour, which is also the second time of our school to dispatch study tours to XIME.

Director Zhong Risheng gave a speech of the safety issues when studying abroad for the students. Director Zhong started with an introduction to India, focusing on India's geography, ethnicity, religion and economy. What’s more, he told students about the potential dangers and political risks when traveling abroad, and used examples to tell the students about the precautions before departure. In the end, he told the students about the relevant preparations before departure, and explained to students how to deal with emergencies mainly from the aspects of life safety and property safety.

In the end, Vice Dean Yuan Denghua gave a speech of the precaution issues of studying in India for the students with his own experience of going abroad on business and leading students to attend the BRICS Student Meet in India. The speech mainly focused onhandling emergencies.
