On October 9, 2018, led by Xu Liuxiang, an associate professor at the Department of Business Administration of Ling Tung University, EMBA teachers and students from Ling Tung University visited the MBA Education Center of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies(GDUFS). Wu Junfeng, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office of GDUFS, Liang Jie, Associate Dean of the School of Business, Professor Luo Jining from the School of Business, Xu Yiqing, Director of the School of Business, and representatives of MBA students and alumni received the delegation.

First of all, Wu Junfeng delivered a speech on behalf of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of GDUFS. He warmly welcomed the EMBA teachers and students from Ling Tung University and gave a brief introduction on the basic situation and development status of GDUFS. Director Wu also reviewed the history of close cooperation and exchanges between the two universities and expressed his hope that the friendly exchanges between teachers and students of both sides will continue through this exchange.

Then, Liang Jie introduced the situation of the School of Business and MBA education at GDUFS from the perspectives of the basic situation, features, orientation, academic majors, international exchanges and so on. He also pointed out that the two sides would deepen communication and promote deeper cooperation on the basis of good exchanges.

Xu Liuxiang expressed his gratitude to GDUFS for its great attention on and careful arrangement for the visit of delegation from Ling Tung University. At the same time, he sincerely invited our teachers and students to visit Ling Tung University, so as to to carry out various cooperation and exchanges.

Later, professor Luo Jining delivered a lecture entitled “The Wisdom of Chinese Culture and Management” for the teachers and students of both sides, focusing on how to apply sinology to corporate management. Tapping into some corporate cases, especially the “Home Culture” of Huawei, professor Luo Jining explained the management wisdom contained in Chinese culture.

The teachers and students attending the meeting had a heated discussion on the theme and the problems and challenges in their own companies, and shared their respective business management experience and different corporate culture. Students said that lectures and exchanges inspired their new thinking on business management, which would brought new enlightenment to their practical work.

After the meeting, students participated in the free communication touching on various topics including inter-university student exchanges, cultural and sports exchanges, alumni activities and others.
