Brief information about Dr. Roni Bhowmik: 

Dr. Roni Bhowmik is a faculty member of Finance in the School of Business, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, China.

Before joining GDUFS, Dr. Bhowmik held different positions at several universities over the past eight years. He was the founding member of the DIU Belt and Road Research Center (DIUBRRC) at Daffodil International University (Bangladesh). He has been an invited associate professor at the School of Management, Jiujiang University (China).  

Dr. Bhowmik received his Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering (special direction of Financial Management) from the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences (China). Dr. Bhowmik was a most famous and prestigious CAS-TWAS President Fellowship Awardee.  

Dr. Bhowmik’s primary research focuses lie in financial management – including, financial economics, stock market crisis, market volatility, investment, environmental economics, modeling, and time-series predictability of returns.

Dr. Bhowmik has more than twenty published papers and those have been published in core indexed journals such as - SCI, SSCI, SCOPUS, CSSCI, and IEEE symposium. He is working as a reviewer of several journals; as- International Journal of Emerging Markets, Plos One, Global Business Review, Sage Open, VOLUNTAS: International Journal of Voluntary and Nonprofit Organizations, Asian Journal of Finance & Accounting, The Indian Economic Journal, Business and Economic Research.

Dr. Bhowmik taught courses on – Financial Management, International Financial Management, International Economics, Financial Institutions & Markets, Business Research Methodology, and Working Capital Management.

Outline of the lecture:

The lecture will focus on the challenges faced by beginners in money-making and investment and how investors can overcome the problem of changing their investing approach. It will be discussing the financial knowledge and technical analysis to help investors make investment decisions through the tradingview tool.
