The First International Cooperative Research Center of School of Business Unveils its Nameplate

From December 11 to 15, Vice President of GDUFS Jiao Fangtai led a delegation to visit cooperative colleges such asMassey University, New Zealand, Victoria University of Wellington, University of Technology Sydney, Australia and University of Wollongong. The nameplate unveiling ceremony of the first international cooperative research center of SOB was held at Massey University. The establishment of this research center was of great importance for the deepening cooperation of the two universities. Dean of SOB Zhu Wenzhong and Deputy Director General of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange Wu Junfeng were also among the delegation members.

On December 11, the delegation with Jiao Fangtai as the head visitedMassey University, New Zealand and held talks with the Vice Chancellor and Dean of the School of Business of the university Stephen kelly, Director of the Department of International Relations Michael O’Shaunhnessy, Director of the School of Profession and Continuing Education Andrea Flavel, Pro. Dirk Boehe and Associate Professor GabriaelEweje of the School of Business and Head of International Affairs Jade Zhou.Jiao Fangtai and Stephen kelly unveiled together the nameplate of the “GDUFS-Massey University Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility Research Center”. The School of Business of Massey University agreed the blueprint for cooperation carried out by the School of Business of GDUFS and Massey University would sign a cooperative agreement on research with GDUFS after necessary procedures were completed. The two sides had also exchanged ideas on the improvement of students’ professionalism and only-English teacher training. Based on this cooperative platform, SOB of GDUFS will carry out related activities such as scholars’ visits and lectures, students’ exchanges, students’ overseas internships, cooperative scientific research, cooperative paper publishing and co-operating seminars.

In addition, the delegation had also visited Victoria University of Wellington, University of Technology Sydney, Australia and University of Wollongong. Both of the two parties indicated that they would continue their cooperation in strengthening cooperation among teachers, students and scientific research matters. They would also reach agreements on the launching of such projects as 1+1 master students’ and 2+2 undergraduate students’ exchanges, teachers’ exchanges, cooperative research and so on and so forth. They would have more students of SOB go abroad for further study and have courses connecting and credit recognition included in the exchange program, to name just a few.
