On the morning of January 10, Richard Soparnot, Executive Vice President of ESC-Clermont and its delegates visited GDUFS. Vice President Jiao Fangtai met with the guests in the VIP room of the Administrative Building on the North Campus. The two sides exchanged and discussed on academic project cooperation, student exchange, teacher exchanges and other issues.
Jiao Fangtai expressed warm welcome to the delegation of ESC-Clermont, and expressed gratitude to the ESC-Clermont for having led delegations to visit GDUFS. He hoped that through communication, two sides could conduct the exchange of undergraduate and postgraduate students as soon as possible and promoted deeper cooperation between GDUFS and ESC-Clermont. Jiao Fangtai also proposed that the two universities can have students exchanged before sending teachers to visit each other, and finally go deep into the scientific research field, thus carrying out all-round exchanges and cooperation.
Richard Soparnot agreed with Jiao Fangtai’s proposal and expressed his gratitude for the two universities' unremitting efforts to communicate and promote relevant projects. He pointed out that this meeting also coincided with the meeting between the leaders of China and France and therefore it has a more positive significance. He said that he is full of confidence that both sides can learn from each other, and ultimately achieve positive results.
Cai Hong, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Zhou Donglan, Secretary of the Party Committee of Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture, Yi Zongyong, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Liang Jie, Associate Dean of the School of Business and Xiao Ximing, Deputy Director of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship attended the meeting. After the talks, the staff of both sides conducted detailed discussions on specific cooperation issues, confirmed that they will exchange students in the autumn of 2018 and carry out substantive cooperation on the China-France Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Project.
