On the afternoon of April 20, the 63rd MBA Forum was held in Sifang Lecture Room of the 9th teaching building. Dr. Gao Yuhui, vice president of Yuexiu Financial Holdings, delivered a speech under the theme of “Path of Growth in the age of transformation ----Analyzing Hot Spots of Financial Sector”. Dr. Gao shared his abundant experience in the financial sector with the students of GSB in a humorous way. The lecture was chaired by Vice Dean Zeng Yuran. Before the lecture, Professor Shi Youqi, Vice President of GDUFS, issued a letter of appointment for Dr. Gao Yuhui as a visiting professor.
At the beginning, Dr. Gao made a brief introduction to Yuexiu Financial Holdings he works for. He then analyzed the implications of the Internet Finance on the traditional financial sector and the benefits of the new economic policy ruled out by the government. He also confirmed the development prospect of the traditional financial sector. Besides, he mentioned that changes in the financial sector should be driven by technological innovations. Later, he shared the story of technological innovation in finance when he worked for Ping An Bank.
Dr. Gao emphasized again that we should have confidence in China’s economy and China’s future. He expressed that the MBA candidates in attendance should cherish the moment they have and work together. At last, he gave some wonderful answers to the questions raised by the students.
