On December 6th, the Seventh General Election of MBA Centre Federation (hereinafter referred to as the "Federation") was held at the Room103 Silk-Tex Lecture Hall in No.9 Teaching Building. Yuan Denghua, Vice Dean of the School of Business, Luo Haiyang Deputy Secretary of the School of Business, Wang Gang, Director of the MBA Center and Lin Fengfeng, Liang Yan, Zhang Manling, staff of the MBA Center as well as members of the Sixth Federation and hundreds of students attended the election meeting. The meeting was hosted by the Secretary General of the Sixth Federation, Pan Yuanyuan.
Pan Yuanyuan firstly declared the public campaign positions and election rules. Then, in alphabetical order, thirteen candidates came on the stage to make wonderful speeches for the campaign. The candidates were distinct in their styles. Some were humorous, some were mature and stable, and others were leisurely and unhurried. Their rich personal experiences and insightful ideas of the job won themselves applauds and cheers from teachers and students at present. The atmosphere was warm and the clapping kept on and on.
Elam, a student from Pakistan participated in the campaign, who was the first international student to take part in the Federation's general election. He expressed his gratitude towards Guangwai and how would he perform if he was elected in fluent Chinese and English. He sincerely explained that he would try his best to make his own contributions to Guangwai MBA whether he would be elected or not.
After the candidate's campaign speech, the teachers and students presented their sacred votes. At the same time as the staff was calculating the votes, Li Xikun, Chairman of the Sixth MAB Center Federation gave an annual work summary of the Federation. Li Xikun pointed out that the Sixth Federation had made innovations in all kinds of sports activities. For example, project operation mode was applied in the badminton tournament for the first time; the responsible persons of departments were first called together under the project leader system in the smile project. In September this year, Guangwai MBA Federation also won the Top 10 MBA Federation Award and the Best Organization Award on the Ninth Leader Annual Meeting of MBA Union of China. Zhong Lehong, Vice Chairman of the Sixth Federation came on the stage and shared his experience with the candidates.
After the vote calculating, the host announced the results: Lai Chengjie was elected Chairman of the Seventh MBA Federation, Fu Xiaoqing was elected Secretary General and Elam, Luo Xiaohong, Sun Bo and Li Canrong were elected the Vice Chairman of the Federation.
Finally, Vice Dean Yuan Denghua delivered a speech. He pointed out that the Guangwai MBA Federation was an indispensible part of the Guangwai MBA's goal of cultivating international management talents with the knowledge of the west and east. Members of the MBA Federation should always keep in mind that they should do what businessmen would do, fostering management skills to provide services and more importantly, upholding the SMILE Value of Guangwai MBA to build up the brand of Guangwai MBA. Finally, he expressed his congratulations to the students who were elected and wished the MBA Federation a greater success!
