The salon, with the theme of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, explored enterprise innovation and self renovation with work and life experience. Yan Ling, student of 2015, taking Innovation Driving and Self Renovation as the pointcut, shared the case that how New Hope Group realized the strategy transformation from  feed industry to food industry. New Hope Group had successfully transformed from the domestic leading enterprise in production and marketing of feed to the benchmarking enterprise of modern agriculture to supply 2 hundred million people with meat and poultry, realizing enterprise innovation.

Then, Wang Fei, according to Lei Jun’s  three reflections, concluded the strategy of entrepreneurship and innovation:1.to discover trend(the strategic height);2. To act first, think later, using the rapid development to solve problems of the development(implementation strength);3.to find value elements to create popular products(product depth).

The students, combining with their own experience, made an in-depth discussion and conversation. There were 2 groups of students attending the discussion and sharing part of the salon. Especially Lisa, a new mother, came all the way just for the sharing before leaving for Shenzhou.

At the end, Dean Wang particularly analyzed 3 alternative development models for “Entrepreneurship and Innovation”:

1. Pioneering

To be a enterprise founder or a founding partner, which is the type of entrepreneurship most people understand.

2. Accelerator

There are many enterprise beyond the startup phase and entering into the key development phase of the second startup. Competent students may as well choose this kind of enterprise to be a professional manager. You can help the enterprise rapidly developing and expanding, becoming an accelerator of the enterprise development. This kind of people, in most cases, will also gain the enterprise’s share option and stock right, and even become a co-founder.

3. Ride sharing

Students who still haven’t the ability to be a partner with bosses can participate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation through the model of “ride sharing”. Ride sharing means that you should try your best to keep innovating and making achievements on your own job, keep learning about the field you work on, and find your own sell points and value,stand ready to accpet greater responsibilities of the enterprise or to start up business.

Dean Wang also came up with a new explanation of “transboundary theory”,“Jump out, look back and work on a firm footing”
