On the afternoon of December 18, 2016, the eight general election of the MBA Union of School of Business, GDUFS, was held in Room 103 of No. 9 Teaching Building.

Vice Dean Yuan Denghua of School of Business, Director Wang Gang of the MBA Education Center, teachers Zhang Manling and Liang Yan of the MBA Education Center, the presidium of the seventh session of the MBA Union, and student representatives, attended the meeting. The meeting was voted by MBA students and the preparatory committee members according to the candidates’ speech and usual performance. The voting results were announced on the spot, from which members of the presidium were selected according to the votes.

The election was hosted by Class 2016A’s Zhang Shiman. 16 students from grades 2015 and 2016 delivered their campaign speeches in turn, introducing their respective election grounds, advantages and administrative programs. Everyone tried his best to show his style and advantage.

During the period of counting votes, President Lai Chengjie of the seventh session of the MBA Union reported to the teachers and students on the work of the previous year, presenting activities the seventh MBA Union had organized as well as achievements they had made, and expressed his expectation to the new session of the MBA Union.

Subsequently, the voting and vote-counting were progressed in the spirit of fairness, justice and openness. After checking the voting results, the jury announced the presidium of the eighth session of the MBA Union:

Finally, Vice Dean Yuan Denghua delivered a speech. He congratulated to the presidium of the eighth session of the MBA Union, and hoped that they can continue to carry out the traditional projects with GDUFS characteristics, and at the same time, gradually promote new projects, for example, organizing competitions of school-levels and actively participating in activities organized by MBA Union of China, so as to promote exchanges between MBA Union members of each school, strengthen the construction of our MBA and expand the influence of our MBA. Meanwhile, he hoped that they can dedicate to building the MBA brand by providing services to organizations under the guidance of teachers, so as to help MBA make more achievements.

Time flies. With the new opportunity, the new presidium of the MBA Union will lead the elites of the eighth session of the MBA Union to write a new chapter for MBA of GDUFS.
